An internet pharmacy is a great way for senior citizens
to buy their drugs without leaving their home
An internet pharmacy is a handy place to buy
drugs online and save some money at the same time. Many house bound people
will enjoy buying their drugs online and the internet is not just for
computer geeks any more. "Contrary to popular belief that older
internet users were taught how to use the internet by their children or
grandchildren, SeniorNet finds that 76% say they taught themselves.
Another 37% say they took a class to learn and just 30% say they got help
from a relative. Forrester Research, in a recent study, estimates that 45%
of seniors in North America, age 58 and older, are online."
There are a growing number of places a non-computer
owner can gain access to the internet. Libraries, internet cafes and
internet kiosks in malls are growing in popularity.
Libraries are a great place to get online. Almost
every library now has computers for their members to use to get on the
internet. For seniors who generally are not employed or retired they can
get there early to avoid the 5:00 charge. Most libraries do not charge for
this service.
Internet cafes are small business’ or franchises
set up for the sole purpose of providing internet access to those who do
not own a computer or don’t want to pay for continued internet access.
Generally there is no waiting because they have a generous amount of
computer stations set up and internet ready. They differ from library
access because they charge a fee for their services.
Internet Kiosks are the newest addition to community
internet access. These kiosks are usually set up in shopping malls. They
are a lot like ATM machines. You insert your money or credit card and you
purchase the amount of time you want to spend on the internet. You are
prompted with the time you have left and will log you off the system when
your time runs out.
