health care plan
An American health care plan from George
W. Bush
George Bush wants a health
care plan for every American. In his agenda to improve health care Mr.
Bush wants to help small business provide health care to their employees.
Health care savings accounts are popular with the President. This will
enable people who have very high deductible plans to set up a tax free
portable savings account to help pay for routine medical expenses and
procedures.
New health care
deductions will be allowed for people weather they itemize or not. It will
reduce the net cost for high deductible plans and encourage the use of
HAS’s.
Low income families and
individuals will be eligible to receive refundable tax credits of up to
$1000 for individuals and $3000 for families.
Health care reform will
limit the amounts on medical law suits which will help drive down the cost
of health insurance. This will reduce frivolous and time-consuming legal
proceedings against doctors and health care providers that are driving
good providers out of communities across the country.
Senior citizens will
benefit with President Bush’s prescription drug coverage beginning in
2006. Medicare prescription drug coverage will be available to 40 million
seniors and people with disabilities. Beginning in 2006, seniors also will
get the same kinds of choices the Members of Congress and federal
employees have to select the coverage that is best for them, including the
choice of keeping their Medicare coverage just the way it is. |
