health care jobs
Health care jobs are in demand and it
looks like it's getting even better
Health care jobs
are always sought after not only by medical students but also by many
institutions. Healthcarejobstore.com lists over 16,000 healthcare jobs
nationwide. This is typical because there are more open positions for
qualified health care workers than there are workers to fill them.
The health care industry
is ripe with great jobs for anybody seeking a career in this industry. The
key ingredient is “qualified”. Just because there are so many
positions being sought doesn’t mean that you will fall right into one
without any training. Highly skilled health skilled workers are in demand
not mediocre skilled workers. To get a good position in this field means
many hours of study and dedication.
The
Department Of Labor predicts a 25% increase in the demand for qualified
individuals between now and 2010. Health care careers are still the rising
stars of the employment outlook.
Many of the fastest
growing jobs are concentrated in the health services field and 13% of all
jobs from 2000 - 2010 will be in the health care industries. Factors
contributing to the continued growth in this field include an aging
population, which will continue to require more services, and the
increased use of innovative medical technology for intensive diagnosis and
treatment.
By the year 2010 health
care employment is expected to increase to 13,600,000, that's over
2,800,000 new jobs. The increased demand for health care services, fed by
the growing population of elderly people is expected to continue for a
full 50 years!
In 2000, there were about
383,000 self-employed medical workers in the health services industry. Of
these, more than two-thirds were in physicians offices, dentists, and
other healthcare practitioners. Health sector jobs are found throughout
the country, but are concentrated in larger states, specifically
Pennsylvania, California, Florida, New York and Texas. |
